Rock Salt
Raw rock salt is used in the process of melting ice from streets and roads in countries where temperatures are low and snow is abundant. Salt is spread on road surfaces before the snow falls, creating a layer of brine that works to lower the freezing point of water, thus delaying or preventing ice formation. Completely, thus reducing the rate of car accidents caused by slips.
